Celebrate Past – Ignite New Vision

January 28, 2020

2020 is an exciting year for Defeat Duchenne Canada as we celebrate our past and ignite a bold new vision for our future.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the organization as our founder, John Davidson, set out on an incredible mission to push his son, Jesse, across Ontario in his wheelchair – a trek of 3,339 kilometres – while raising funds and awareness for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

It also marks the beginning of a new strategy in our fight to defeat Duchenne. To help share our rich history, accomplishments in 2019, and present our vision for the future, we have created a short video:

Please help us raise awareness of Duchenne and Defeat Duchenne Canada by sharing the video link through email and your social media: https://youtu.be/A0tU-cGYzcs.

The video can also be found on all of our social media channels – share, like, and comment to help spread the message far and wide.

It’s only through the support of donors, families and communities across Canada that Defeat Duchenne Canada can continue to fund the most promising research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy. And it is only through the advancement of research that the thousands of children and young adults who face Duchenne can have hope of a long life and be inspired to live their lives to the fullest every day.

None of this is possible without your support. Thank you!
