With a primary focus on funding the most promising research initiatives aimed at improving outcomes for individuals living with DMD, the organization continues its unwavering commitment to advancing science and treatment options for this muscle-wasting disease.

Through the generous support of donors and supporters, Defeat Duchenne Canada has remained at the forefront of funding cutting-edge DMD research. Since its inception, the organization has invested over $17 million in projects worldwide, contributing significantly to the advancement of scientific knowledge and the development of potential therapies for DMD.

Defeat Duchenne Canada invites research proposals of a translational or clinical nature, focusing on addressing the challenges faced by those living with DMD. Letters of intent will be accepted until April 22, 2024, at 11:59 PM EDT.
