Defeat Duchenne Canada, in partnership with La Force DMD, has completed our formal Patient Input Submission to the Institut national d’excellence en santé et en services sociaux (INESSS), Quebec’s government agency responsible for evaluating new treatments and advising on public funding decisions.

As part of this process, we invited families to share their lived experiences with Duchenne and perspectives on treatment. We are grateful to the 35 individuals who responded to our survey—31 in French and 4 in English. Your voices ensure that the realities of living with Duchenne are considered by INESSS reviewers and decision-makers.

We extend our thanks to all Duchenne families and individuals across Quebec who generously contributed their stories. Your participation is vital in shaping decisions that will impact access to care and treatment.
