Canadians Talk Duchenne

Living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy can often feel isolating. That’s why Defeat Duchenne Canada has partnered with Duchenne Canadian Connection to create a sense of community by bringing families together from across the country to learn from one another and discuss current events that are relevant to our Duchenne community. So, grab your favourite beverages and join our monthly virtual social for parents and caregivers.

There is no formal agenda, just an opportunity to share stories and exchange ideas with others who understand what you’re going through. We are proud that our Vice President of Research,  Advocacy and Education, Nicola Worsfold, is not only an expert in the field of Duchenne, but also the proud parent of Owen, her son living with the disease. During these talks, she shares her personal and professional perspectives, which are both deeply meaningful and informational.

Next Social: Wednesday, May 25, 2022, starting at 7 p.m. EST

Socials will occur on the last Wednesday of every month. Please note the time zone is in Eastern Standard Time; be sure to check and adjust the time you login accordingly.

Where: Zoom

The event will be hosted in English, and you will receive the Zoom link in your registration confirmation email. We encourage you to turn on your video throughout the social and enable your microphone when speaking.
