Duane, a proud military veteran, is on a heartfelt mission to make a difference. He’s dedicated to raising funds to combat Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), inspired by his beloved 16-year-old son, James.

“That one breakthrough in research, that’s all we need. It’s all we’re looking for,” says Duane.

Duane Allen is excited to take on the 4x4x48 Challenge, where he’ll run 4 miles (6.4 km) every 4 hours over 48 hours from April 10 to April 12, 2026. We’re so grateful for your support as Duane celebrates his 6th anniversary with this challenge. Last year’s efforts helped raise an impressive $11,656, and over the last five years, Duane has collected a wonderful total of $37,967. This year, his goal is to reach $15,000.

“This marks the 6th year of the event, and I am excited to make it the best yet,” says Duane.
