Canadians Talk Duchenne – January
Starts January 26, 2022
7:00 PM
Event Type: Virtual
Event Category: Education & Support
Audience Type: Parent or Caregivers
Living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy can often feel isolating. That’s why Defeat Duchenne Canada has partnered with Duchenne Canadian Connection to create a sense of community by bringing families together from across the country to learn from one another and discuss current events that are relevant to our Duchenne community. So, grab your favourite beverages and join our monthly virtual social for parents and caregivers.
There is no formal agenda, just an opportunity to share stories and exchange ideas with others who understand what you’re going through. We are proud that our National Vice President of Research, Advocacy, and Education, Nicola Worsfold, is an expert in the field of Duchenne and the proud parent of Owen, her son living with the disease. Her Co-Host, Amy Cavalier from Duchenne Canadian Connection, is also a proud parent of Kaleb and Liam; both of her boys also have Duchenne. During these talks, they will share their personal and professional perspectives, both deeply meaningful and informational.
Each social will be live via Zoom at 7:00 PM ET. Canadians Talk Duchenne is a free event and is open on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 25 registrants. Once registered, you will receive an email with the Zoom details.
