In 2019/20, Jesse’s Journey hosted three educational webinars for more than 400 attendees, including topics such as “Research Funding in Canada,” “COVID-19 and Duchenne”, and “Back to School Considerations for Individuals Living with Muscular Dystrophy.” This year, our first webinar focussed on:

Presented by Dr. Natalie Truba, Clinical Psychologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio
Dr. Truba discussed the emotional, behavioural and cognitive challenges commonly experienced by boys with Duchenne muscular dystrophy and manifesting girl carriers, along with providing a broad overview of strategies that may help you better manage challenging behaviours. She also reviewed insights regarding the impact of COVID-19 and identified strategies for adaptive coping during the pandemic.
