2015 is a very special year for Defeat Duchenne Canada – it marks 20 years since John Davidson pushed his son Jesse in his wheelchair across Ontario to raise funds and awareness for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

It was on this historic trek that Defeat Duchenne Canada was born. Because of the generosity and support from all of our donors and volunteers, we have granted more than $6 million to some of the most promising Duchenne research projects since that time. We have also met some incredible people along the way – families and friends who have been affected by Duchenne and have joined us in our mission to Defeat Duchenne.

Thank you for making Defeat Duchenne Canada your journey, too!
