September 6, 2018

We have a new leader of the team here at Defeat Duchenne Canada

We are pleased to announce that Perry Esler will be assuming the role of Executive Director on October 1st.

Perry is no stranger to Defeat Duchenne Canada, having been on the road with us in 1995. He comes to us with more than 20-years of experience in the non-profit sector. Perry is highly skilled in strategic planning and individual giving as well as corporate partnerships and event planning. Perry’s work in helping others began in London with Children’s Health Foundation. He later joined Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, fundraising in support of Foundations across North America, Europe and Australia. Perry has also consulted in the areas of strategic planning, fundraising, donor relations and marketing.

Perry and his wife Nicole live in Old South and have four children. Perry is well known to Londoners and is excited to be bringing his passion for helping children to Defeat Duchenne Canada with its focus on research on the road to a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

As Executive Director, Perry will be leading our committed staff and a team of families, donors, corporate stakeholders, researchers and volunteers in pursuit of the cure that we know is going to be found.

Perry is looking forward to meeting you. Starting on October 1st, you can reach him at 519-645-8855 or [email protected]

Thank you for your continued support of Defeat Duchenne Canada and we look forward to welcoming our new Executive Director, Perry Esler.
